Steve, sorry to hear that you had to let Rosie go, but rest assured you did the right thing by her.  It hurts, and I can only suggest you focus on all the good times you had together, it does ease some of the pain.

I know how hard it is, as I had to let my much loved Kellie (Koolie x Border Collie) go recently, with her various health issues and increasing dementia life just wasn't much fun any more.  She was a huge part of my life for the last 16 years, my constant companion and a great agility team mate.  We travelled over much of Australia competing at dog Agility Trials for over 12 years, and she always gave me everything she had (which was a lot, she won at Nationals several years running and was a top dog for almost a decade).

We all know our pets can't live forever, but we always wish they could enjoy life for just a bit longer.   :cry:

A couple weeks ago the one in the back was laying on the Mrs chest while we were watching tv in bed, yet the kid came in and that cat did like roadrunner and took off! She still has a mark from him digging right through her shirt! One of the downfalls of wearing sweatpants or thin pants for bedtime, cause he has come very close to slicing :whistle:

Losing a pet isn’t easy. My family lost a dog to a Coyote attack on January 1st this year. I still miss her greatly. May things getter better, easier, and lighter for you and your family That is Izzy, the dog we lost to a Coyote.
