Day 20

Chicken snack pack!
(Image removed from quote.)

Are we drawing more cards tomorrow? If so, I would like to surrender my 10 and 5 and draw two new cards. Preferably diamonds. :pok:

Good question.... I guess we do draw new cards tomorrow?

Day 20:
Saturday is MacGyver Day. In tonite’s episodes Mac will be using a Standard (again, as per RP’s spiffing thread) so here’s Deejo and Swiss PTT scaled Standard getting ready to leave the gym this morning:

Nice saw action Eco  :like:

I agree that the thickness of the saw has a direct impact to it  :tu:

As for the "aggressiveness" I see the Rebar saw as a pull-only saw, while the Spirit (Vic.) ones are pull & push  :dunno:

And I can tell you, the Spirit saw does an excellent job on the push direction  :ahhh
Thanks McS :tu:
I’m most used to the SAK saws (as opposed rebar) use them often, various models and sizes, from 84mm walker up to the ranger wood 55 and they always cut quickly and cleanly. The rebar was also very good as I said last week.
The spirit was noticeably harder work, so I think the extra thickness (as you say too) means you have to shift more material to get your cut and it “sticks” more towards the finish whereas the thinner profiles are less affected.
I was cutting the same trees as last week, so like for like, but will have to do a proper side by side test

I like that tool too  :tu:

It's kinda like those old women that read your future from tea leaves left in the cup, the furry creature spreads the glitter around and from that you will know what cards to swap, just guessing..i don't understand him either

... but like this...

I have a Firebox inbound which I am looking forward to trying out.
It's a Särmä wood stove from varusteleka.com
Only used it once so far but I like it and it is so small and efficient :tu:

Poker Fuzzy Bits Day: 19 (already)

Used the very tipy-top of the 106 to delicately trim some linen tape...

I like that stove, and I bet it's nice to car camp or hike with it. :tu:

I'm thinking about my situation....

(Image removed from quote.)

I think my best chance of winning the Milk Duds will be to trade in my 5 of Clubs and 9 of Spades and go for a Flush. The odds here are pretty good that I'll end up with a Diamonds high card and get to continue with a SAK.

Because comis set the order of suits in this fashion:

(Image removed from quote.)

Any of 3 Aces (Clubs, Hearts, Spades) could deprive me of my SAK, but....any King or lower and I get to keep a SAK.  So, I think drawing two cards gives me a shot to win, and I'm likely to end up with a SAK for the rest of the challenge.

Anyone see a downside to my strategy?

I think that's a good strategy, and in some way, I would most definitely prefer a SAK carry over a Folder or Fixie alone.

Day 19

This chisel rips through plastic like if it's nothing.
One of the my favorite tool on Spirit too!

Just thinking about Sunday, double checking..is that Ace mine too?

(Image removed from quote.)
The question is, even if it is, would you chance 4 cards and hold onto the Ace. >:D

Talking about cards, I’ll keep my two pair and take the 8% chance on a full house!

 :2tu:
Nice to hear!  And I can't hardly wait to see what Lady Luck has in stall for you...

Day 20

Used the Spirit saw around the yard, partly to compare it with the Rebar I used last week.

Did a good job but not as aggressive as the Rebar so although good, points to the LM.

It’s thicker than the saw on the rebar or huntsman so although stronger, I found it a little harder to use

Great use and observation!

I have done a pretty long video on multitool saw comparison couple years back, and the data does reflect the same result as yours:

Day Nineteen

(Image removed from quote.)

Back to work today. Snowpocalypse is over. I gave 250 COVID-19 immunizations today so no good uses until I got home. My Valentine’s Day present from my wife arrived from A.G. Russell...if lady lucky is on my side on Sunday, maybe I’ll get to carry it.  :ahhh
Saw the similar post in the NLC thread, and would like to thank you for serving the community!

Day 21 is fast approaching, so anyone ready for new card(s) swap, please do feel free to request one, once you have reached Day 21 in your respective time zone.  Also, please do feel free to start carrying your new gear(s) once you have gotten the final hand.

Right now, Borg and Tet with Three of a Kind and Two Pairs are in lead, but the table could be flipped any moment, and it is going to be a fun game to watch!

Nix, thanks for the mention, may I request to swap out 4 of hearts, 3 of clubs and Jack of diamonds for something new?  Thanks in advance!

New cards request(3 cards):

Meanwhile, I will be dealing cards for ReamerPunch and Echotech since they have both requested new cards earlier and it's now their day 21.
