Day 11
I used the Wissahickon Critter fixed blade to slice up a pork roast for supper. After cooking it all day in the smoker it was just falling off the bone, and so tender it was difficult to slice.  It wanted to fall apart under the blade even though the knife is very sharp.  This cooler weather is perfect for grilling and chilling.

Hope you get to feeling better with the covid :salute:
thanks Poncho
yeah i'm not too bad, minor symptoms compared to most. my dad is in hospital but he's improving,my mom is 75% well.
my kids are also showing symptoms but are fine for the most part. wife is ok.
i need to work but it's slow going. still,we give thanks and keep on keepin on.

Day12

d12 by Humayd a r Mahomedy, on Flickr

Batbelt gear today - i edc 2 spare mags,18 round CZ mags, which run fine in my Canik and CZ75 B.
my ammo of choice is Federal Hydrashock,Speer Gold Dot [these 2 are down to a few in each mag] and Winchester Ranger T +P+ [127 gr].
i'm quite fond of the Rangers, were decently priced when they first came into SA,but prices spiked over the last few months [cost of imports spiked,Rand dropped, businesses took a big hit, last year].

Hi people  :waving:

I arrived back from sunny  :dunno:  Wales today. I have been absent for a few days whilst I dealt with a family bereavement.

It wasn't unexpected but still not good news losing a parent just before Christmas, and the COVID stuff doesn't help with arrangements.

Thank you "awl" for your messages of support and condolences (too many to mention) This is the reason why this site is better than all the others (it's the generosity of "spirit" of "awl" of you)  :tu:

It didn't feel right to take shots in the circumstances so I will continue to post pics of an appropriate Bat-Belt/Vest starting again tomorrow (13th) and then run over for the days I've missed, if that's okay with you  :dunno:

Once again; thank you "awl"  :salute:

I've had an ongoing quest to find the ideal EDC fixed blade and Nix sent me the Wissahickon Critter to enter for contention.  It really is an excellent knife with a fat, hand filling handle that feels like you could use it all day without hot spots or your hand cramping.  Also, it didn't come with a sheath so Nix hand made the sheath that he sent with it and he did a great job.  It's right up there with the Hunt'N Fisch which is a perfect size and comes with that fantastic horizontal sheath. :hatsoff:

DAY 13

Back at work today after a few days dealing with other stuff.

I'm not sure which is the best way to do catch up pic's so, to make it easier  I'll continue with the current day and then do the extra shots once this challenge has ended (for you people anyway  ::) )

So, here's the 'cuffs out of their pouch ready for action, or not
Once again, thank you for all messages. It is appreciated. You lot are brilliant  :hatsoff:

Day 13
I had this little piece of driftwood covered with bromeliads hanging on my fence and the steel wire finally rusted through so I used the Spirit to replace the wire with an aluminum fence tie.  Should be good for a long time now.

Same carry as yerterday, only the mec-army sgn came back to the key holder and the fenix PD36R to the pocket.

Played a bit with my new flag lockpicks
The mec-army helped me peek inside this Mul-T-lock after picking it

I had the chance to buy an ASP and should have but we cannot legally carry them here.  I don't recall the maker but it was well made from what I remember.  I'm sure a good thwack would adjust ones attitude quite readily.
