Hello and good night to all.Has anybody thought of some tool for the 4th opening on the Vic scale?
I thought of putting the fire ant fire starter in place of the toothpick and move it to the place of the 4th opening, but it does not fit.
Best would be to find a fire starter that fits the tweezer place, and then buy a small tweezer for the 4th opening.
Any ideas?
Yeah, I forget that the internet doesn’t believe anything without pics! Post in the glow scale thread is HereThis is in the back tweezer slot cut open in a Champion Plus and the other is in a white Spartan PS.
Thanks, but my question was more about the 4th opening. You got T&T, pen... what's the 4th one?!
I believe that Champion Plus has a Firefly in the 4th slot.
I didn't made myself clear (as usual). What I meant was "what are the 4 slots?"1. Toothpick2. Tweezers3. Pen4. (do you count the pin, under the corkscrew?!)
This slot, oposite to the other two?(Image removed from quote.)Enviado de meu moto g(6) usando o Tapatalk
Thanks! This pic illustrates it perfectly. I'll have to check my SAKs, don't remember seeing this. Edit: Yup, there it is, in a translucent scale. Do regular celidor scales have this, too? Or just the translucent ones?
I believe that only plus scales have It. Both celidor and translucent.
I'll never post a pic in order to illustrate something to you ever again
I believe that only plus scales have It. Both celidor and translucent.Bellow a link for a Felix Immler video:
So, the 4th slot is a 3rd slot... why not have a 2nd slot in the other scale, to make a 5th slot? It would be less crowded.
But there are no electronic cellidor front scales so why the extra slot on the back?
Like anything Victorinox does, it’s about production efficiency. Both scales share the same interior injection mold. Saves on tooling costs.
But yes of course, probably some parts of the mold are identical, that makes sense Need more coffee
The 4th slot seems to use 'short' tweezers, do you all mean the ones from 58mms?
Acutally no, the short ones are different. Part number is A.3742. You can find them on eBay and they are also available in some of the replacement parts kits (here for example: https://ebay.com/itm/193973665263)
This makes me want some Fireflies more I was tempted to open teh 4th slot on the plus scales I got recently before putting them on, but I was sure that I'd muck up the opening in some fashion
Short ones on the left. Middle one (red) is for 58mm SAKs. Note that the plastic part on the short tweezers has the same angle as the 91mm ones. Obviously the same tweezers (58mm and 91mm) are used in 74mm, 84mm, 111mm and 130mm SAKs and also in SwissCards. And probably elsewhere too Also: https://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Tweezers
