I like that 54 Phil.  I've been kicking around the idea of picking one up for awhile, but just haven't done it yet.

For Day 4, the pliers retrieved the bag from my cup 🍵

Good stuff, Fellas.  :tu:

Barry, I use the fish scaler to retrieve sunken tea bags. Perhaps the Swiss Champ should be renamed the Tea Drinker?   :dunno:

Day 4 of 60

Used small blade to open batterypack and mini screwdriver to open battery case of small hamster so my little girl could play with those

Day 4

It was a beautiful morning for  walk along the river. So of course a fishing rod was along. I baited with a night crawler, got the bait in the water and sat back to enjoy a cup of coffee from the thermos. The dog and I watched a pair of wood ducks swimming on the opposite bank and I was thinking I should snap a pic. Just then I felt my rod bump my foot. This rainbow trout almost got a new fishing rod.

So today the hook disgorger was used and also the main bade to fillet. A fillet knife would have been much easier and quicker, but not as rewarding.

A trick that I picked up from a fish scaler user is to put the body of the knife in a plastic bag and leave the blade out.  Keeps the body clean and lets you use the tool without having to clean the whole tool.

I should've read this post a few hours earlier.

Good to see some tea bag action Barry

But I do agree with Nix. It’s the fish scaler for that job.

Day 4 of 60:

I'm not looking to wear this SAK out, but it has been busy today:

We got an air purifier in response to the heavy wildfire smoke we've been experiencing here this Summer. Past Summers have seen plenty of wildfire smoke, but this year seems to be a bit worse. Not sure how much good an air purifier will do, but can't hurt.....

Fish scaler and main blade got used to open the packaging.

Later, I was working on a sewing project ("Snapsack"). The S'champ pitched in to change out needles and snip threads. Super useful at the sewing table.

Still later, the scissors were pressed into use yet again to snip some thyme for the bean pot. Red Beans & Rice for supper this evening!
