Found the FX!

I had a rummage around and found my Farmer X. With an extraordinarily garish lanyard attached.

I'll be running this set up for the challenge, FX + Tweezers:

Day 4

The Huntsman mostly just kept my pocket warm today, so here's a comparison shot of it with a Spartan and Swiss Champ for thickness. While the Swiss Champ is easily pocketable, I do think something in the 4-6 layer range feels best in hand. Enough thickness to grip, but not so much to be awkward/push the blade way off center. Kind of a shame we can't get the blades in a center layer, especially on the thicker knives.

Day 5

My wife wanted some lotion while we were out today, and we couldn't get the last squirt out of the bottle. I don't know why someone made a soft sided tube that you can't roll like toothpaste. Either way, small blade and scissors made short work of it.

Day 6

Use the scissors to cut some paracord to tie together a portable bed frame for easier transport and storage. Then I went to the store and bought some twine, because somehow I didn't have any, and that's a waste of paracord. Probably switching to the next knife in a day or two.

DaRn. All I have right now are two layer (Evo Grip 10) three layer (Evo Grip 14 and Mini Champ) five, (Hercules) and ten layer (S51).
My Huntsman went AWOL a few years ago and I haven't bothered to get another one yet. (the one that's AWOL might report for duty again. Unlikely, but there is a slim chance.) In the meantime The Evo Grip 14 is only lacking the wood saw blade, which both my Leatherman and Hercules have, so there is no rush to replace the Huntsman. I been carrying both the Hercules and Leatherman on my belt everyday for the last two or three weeks. (LM for about two months now)

I did carry that translucent red Huntsman for 7 or 8 consecutive years. Wish I knew where it went.
Yes. That ugly old thing in my avatar is I.

I was going to choose the Farmer X, as it is my favorite Victorinox produced model.  Then I remembered that my favorite 4-layer is actually acustom courtesy of Comis.  I may switch off, but to start it will be the Mountain Yeoman

It is also pretty sweet in the dark too.

DAY 0

Get ready for D-Day, boys.  Here's the prequel:

When I was a kid, I was given my first for layer...

A Japanese knock-off...

But until I learned better, it looked like this to me...

The oldest knife in my accumulation,  :D

I'm glad to see more joining this four layer love fest!  It's going to be a fun month. :woohoo:

Day 0: I've had this Deluxe Tinker for a few months, and I'm a fan of the Vic pliers, so now is a great time to give it a good run.  Compared to my Huntsman, this guy is in the 5-6 layer category girth wise, but it has a lot of the tools I like, including the hook  :D
