Chippyjosh’s EDC
on: July 27, 2022, 06:58:14 PM
Thought I’d make a thread with some of my gear.

I’ll start off with this map edition pouch I’ve had for years. I carry this in my work back pack.

It has some new additions like the HH knife. The little gerber is mainly used for cutting into vape juice bottles to get the last drops out.

The Milwaukee will be replaced with a olight i3t pro at some point and the sharpie regularly ends up in my work trousers (then lost)

The mini lock picks have helped out with padlocks at work and I’ve just added the wafer jiggler and the shim card (although it’s thicker than I was expecting so will end up with some cut down mica in there)

May I recommend a box of sharpies back at the house/apt, if you don't already, ha!

Trying to guess what you do for work from this thread......
-Craftsman/Sheffield box cutter, color of the day
-NXT700 (700/NXT hybrid)
-The year before last year's portable electronic interface (holster modded)
-Mountainsmith Day Pack, mildly modded

I have them by the box at work, just tend to need one when I’m away from them.

Ooh another thread to stalk

What do you think of those HH branded real steels? They're nice and cheap, but always concerned they'll be... cheap!

Hi mate, they’re great for the money. Definitely no cheap feel! Obviously you can tell it’s not a 100 quid knife but it’s still very well made, dead sharp out the box and a real positive lock

You’re welcome, changed a lot from my previous work carry due to my job changing and working in city centres more. I can fix a lot with these, if it is an access control issue I’ll carry my multimeter. If it’s a larger issue I have a dedicated service bag set up.

I purchased 2 of those Wera Kraftform Kompact drivers. They're very nice to carry, but both broke after falling from 8-foot ladders. The green collar that extends and releases the bit-holder was the single point of failure in both instances - it just crumbled like a dried cookie. I refuse to buy another.

Sorry I think I’ve messaged you by mistake. I can see the collar as a weak point. I’d be lost without mine. I even bought a spare, I did have one fail and wera replaced it.
