Hi folks,

I havent found a french knife club while looking for it.

Anyone here want to join?
Show off your beauties!

Here are some of mine (missing: 3...4 Laguioles that are hiding themself somewhere).

Top to bottom:

Forge de Laguiole 11cm Prestige 12C27 miel cow horn
Le Liadou by Passion France,  14C28 in Barrique Barrel oak (discoloration is french red wine,  smells good)
Laguiole en Aubrac Lo Fau with spalted beech handles 12C27
L'Amur Le Sabot with Juniper Handle (again the smell...)  in 12C27.

Regards
Michael

Count me in!  I have several French knives and a French sailors knife, the name of which slips my mind at the moment.  Pics to follow! :ahhh

French? Not  a great fan per se.  I find Italian products superior on all fronts. Having said that, expections do exist: Deejo and Opinel.

I have a personilzed Deejo that looks really nice, weights practically nothing and cuts like there’s no tomorrow.
Pretty much my go to knife when suits and ties are required.

Opinels provide great value and nice design methinks.
I only own one of their pocket knives though, a No. 13. Needless to say it does not drop into ones trouser pocket like the Deejo but carries some practical value, is super sharp and pleasure to look and hold.
Sometimes I train knife fighting with it. It works relatively well with roncola Piedmontese type of technics and can also be used in tradional Italian knife fighting drills.

I don’t have a pic. available but I’ll snap one later

Here's mine.  Mrs. R is a big fan of Coutellerie Opinel so they're always easy gifts for us :D. The sailing knife is a Wichard, a gift from my sailor son.

I always wonder why they dont make regular blades into the plastic handles, not those serrated ones.

Would be a better wet environment blade.

Good point Shuya, I use this #7 everyday in the kitchen and have to be careful to dry it after use and regularly apply mineral oil to the handle

Bump!  Noah got a great Christmas gift for me, a TB (Tarrerias-Bonjean) CAC knife, which I understand is issued to the French Army.  It's a solid feeling knife and is definitely a cutter.  This is my first experience with this manufacturer.

Looks like a very durable box as well.  I like the gnarly grip.  Best wishes.  G

Thanks gents!  I've always wondered how this kind of grip would be.   It's actually a great non slip.  It's a bigger knife than the picture shows.
