10 dollar pocketknife at Harbor Freight
on: February 05, 2023, 03:06:20 PM
This Gordon pocketknife from Harbor Freight got a rave review from MaxLvlEDC on you tube 2 days ago.  The word is out because my local Harbor Freight store was cleaned out but I was able to get one at a slightly more distant store.

G10 scales
8CR13mov steel blade just under 3 inches
Flipper on bearings
Ambidextrous tip up or down clip
Perfect centering
No blade play
Good action but not drop shutty
After a very quick touchup on my Sharpmaker it is razor sharp
Detent could be a little stronger..

These are going to fly off their shelves.  Comparable to a CRKT Drifter or dare I say Aus8 RAT 2.  I've never seen anything better under 25 bucks.

Let me know what you think!

I picked up  one of these right after the holidays for $6.00! It is a nice solid knife and came pretty sharp out of the box.  It flicks open real smooth and easy without having a spring in it. I am getting to the point where I do not like assisted opening blades. The knife snobs will not like it, but it is a great value for the dollar!  :D

That is crazy value.

Could buy almost 30 of em for the cost of what I have clipped to my pocket right now.

I've been waiting for them to be back in stock at any of the 3 local stores.  Couple years ago, Walmart had some Ozark Trail bearing flippers for $5.00.  I was able to snag a few before they sold out.
Addicted to sharp pointy things.

One thing about it though is the description on the package. The blade is about 3 inches long, not 3.6 inches.  Not sure where they get those measurements from.

They measured the entire piece of metal blade.
