12 year old girl and a wife with a ruptured kidney. Gonna have to sit this one out.
If you are talking the awl on aloe SAKs, it doesn’t work as good as blade or Spirit chisel, but does work sufficiently that I refer to use it over the blade to avoid clean up and excess dulling of blade.
Day 05This is how I carry my Spirit and Swiss Champ in my back pocket every day. The SC gets clipped to a belt loop with the lanyard just for extra security so I won't lose it. I find the combo works well together and the pocket scabbard balances out the wallet in my other back pocket so I'm not sitting at an angle.
Another day 20ft up. No use. Pic of what I carried to keep it interesting
The Spirit accompanied me to the gun range
Sorry to hear that.Day 10Someday, I'll get all these staples out of the tables at camp.
Day 11This is first picture and post with my new iPhone, spent majority of the day yesterday transferring to this new device, or better to say majority of time to get the IWatch to work with the new phone🙄Catch 22, the watch required an upgrade to OS 10, but my older model 7 could not handle the upgrade as its OS was no longer supported. Then my new phone a 15, could not talk to the watch because it was not OS10, because it required an upgrade. Finally very late I gave up and reset to watch to as new, then the 15 could pair and then update the OS, which took another 1.5 hours. And awl my settings and functions were lost. 🥹Change is difficult for this old dog…Same for using this very beautiful work of art we call the Victorinox spirit x w/butterblade. I will admit, I am a LM ST and Rebar user, diehard user. Included a PST to the mix. Sixty days will tough, as I am constantly opening the handles to deploy an awl, blade, file, or nifty chisel tool, to realize that they are accessible while pliers are hidden So each day I am devoting at least part of my coffee time studying my Spirit, learning the tools, trying to determine how long to grow my index and thumb nails to extract these shiny implements This morning is a picture of that effort… [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] New problem, can not choose photo to be included in my post as it is invalid file🥲
I wonder why would there be so many staples on table to begin with...are they posting flyer right on the table?
Maybe it is due to the picture size I guess? I think there's a restriction on how large is the file for attachment, and I usually have to resize my pix before directly uploading it onto the forum.
I have no idea. The current owners bought the camp ground 2 or 3 years ago, and it was in very rough shape when they got it.
Day 11Today's carry. I am really liking the Butter Blade version of the Spirit when combined with another blade. I enjoy primarily carrying either a Swisschamp or Cybertool with my Spirit. I am liking my Cybertool with the bit exchanger and flashlight and think the tool set compliments the tools on the Spirit well in both the "S" or Butter blade versions. Sometimes I will opt for a Solo or Pioneer-X or Farmer-X if I want a little smaller. I will play around with the Cybertool as main secondary tool and see how things work out. I need and use a serrated blade which is a main driver for the S of BB variants and both of these outings lack either scissors or straight edge, as you all know. I feel the above combo gives me the most utility and flexibility for my uses.
Day 11Out straight today with whatever sickness this is… [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
