More name that tool

    This one shouldn't be too tough.  Another parallel jaw tool.  One side is marked Bernard's Pat. with dates.  Jaws are marked Solidhed and New York.  Bernard's cute dog trademark on pressed steel handles with plating.  Other side marked W. Schollhorn, New Haven.  The tool has a nice spring action so it pops open after using.  Have fun doing the identification awl.  Best wishes G

Fireman Dan to the rescue.  It was beginning to look like nobody would help and the whole thing would go up in smoke.  Metaphorically speaking of course.  Grommet pliers, or eyelet pliers.  Punch holes in fabric or light leather and crimp in an eyelet.  Good for shoes, hats, fabric belts, purses, etc.  Really big ones would need another type of tool.  Tarps, tents, etc.  I would try to take a photo of the dog logo, if anyone makes the request?  Best wishes Gary
