I love the Strider look.  Nice one!!  Ever see his Strider HAK (Hideaway Knife)?  Its a neat knife but I think it lacks true practicality...the HAK that is.

I had a Strider HAK and I sold it. The HAK is a self defense knife, but there are just so many better choices out there that I didn't see a real need for it.

Those are very nice knives, and that one is on my list as well.
In the recent past i did have a normal SNG, but sold it to a member of the Dutch forum because he wanted it very badly.
I still have a standard SMF and an older model GB, which is my user when i go out in the woods.
This one is able to hack through armthick braches without any (lock) problems, and this is a linerlock. (!)

Always check for a solid lockup on Strider folders, especially vertical slippage of the lockbar can sometimes be a problem.
For the rest these are fine and very usable knives which will serve you well.

I would love to get my hands on a sebbie or a strider. I think I would give up 3/4 of my knives just to get one.  :gimme:

A while back on another forum (a non-tool related one), some college guy argued a LOT with me because he thought his Strider was more... practically applicable (if you will) than my Swisschamp. He said that with the exception of the pliers and the magnifying glass, his Strider could do the work of everything, and do most of it better. I tried not to get into it with him, but it is obvious that he didn't realize a few things. Mainly 1. Pliers are probably one of the most needed tools after the blade on a multitool. 2. He doesn't have a clue how much stuff the Swisschamp actually has! Although one day I would still like a Strider folder because.... well just because.  :D

Don't Striders cost upward of 500 USD?

That looks truly sweet.

I am currently looking at the Tan/Brown model but as I can not EDC it, it would be a display model only  >:(

Yeah, when I can.

So don't you use any lockers or fixed blades then?

I like the CC's lots . I used to have lots of Striders , now I'm down to the ones that actually get carry time . The PT gets the most carry time . It's a tuff little customer , aproximates a small FB for strength . I would deffinateley pick up an SNG CC is one came along at a good price . I've never had lockup of F/F issues with any of my Striders . All that said , my Huntsman or Multi. de jour gets most of the actual cutting work .
