DAY 12

Wife wanted to make a game pie, and asked for me to finely dice vegetables.... classic in hand, challenge accepted (not pictured is the mountain of diced onions which was quite impressive)

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]     More Bijou snacking.  This one is Dorito Dinamita or something like that.  Looks like the little potato sticks that used to come in cans.  I forget what those things were called.  Tastes and smells like vinegar.  Shudder.
I put some critter snax out for the furbearers last night.  Might post a four-legged scavenger photo later.  It could happen.  Best wishes.  G

Some racko pix.  These are stills taken from videos.  Infra-red of course.  The LEDs are about as bright as a car headlamp but appear to the human eye anyway as a dull red glow.
Big fat possum ate most of the leftover rackaroni with cheese.  Rackies found the cracked eggs I left.  They did a taste test on the carton but found it somewhat lacking in gustatory appeal.  The eggs were a big hit.  Must have been cold out there.  Diners awl wore furs.  Best wishes.  G

Day 12:
Just finished up my morning reading and listening to the city plowing the streets. Still waiting to hear whether school is closed or not. It's a bit frigid out today. My old 4Runner isn't going to like starting in the cold.

Nice photo there, Montana.  I do my reading at night.  I hope they call the school off.  I remember how cold those school bus rides were when I was a kid.
Z's nice staple photo reminds me.  In accordance with the full-disclosure clause in the Classic rules addendum I must report that I did use a LM to pull a troublesome staple this week.  Too much for a Classic, and not especially easy with the Leatherman.  Big Arrow T-50 type staple that was rusted in the wood.  Tight.  It came out shaped like a U once I finished tugging.
Is that confession complete enough friend Explorer?  Best wishes.  G

Day 12

Wife’s decorative LED fairy lights need the batteries replaced.  Classic fit the tiny phillips head screws just fine.  I was advised the dining room table and tablecloth were not a suitable workbench.
I agree with IMR, MTSAK has a nice book he is reading.

That does look like a nice tablecloth, Jeff.  I can understand how Mama Bear wouldn't want anybody skootching it up.  I bet she wouldn't make a frowny face if you maybe laid down a towel to do your necessary maintenance on first.  Just saying.
I just got back from a little jaunt outdoors.  Had to pick up some of the detritus from the critter feast.  Big winds blowing up in the tree tops and little scatters of freezing rain.  Brrr.  Best wishes.  G

Day 12:

Did pretty much nothing, period.

Put the corn dog in the microwave, forgot that I'd left the wrapper on, and I was lucky that I got it out before the wrapper melted (I know the Sam's Club Quesadilla wrappers are supposed to be left on, but not sure about corn dogs).

Day 12

Busy day today.  Started off by cutting some fabric from around the whole in a pant so I could mend them.  Then off to box breakdown duty.  Then, we had to tighten a hinge on the wife's desk armoire.  And finally, staple removal duty.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

Classic tape cutting scenario.  Classic mini pockie knife.  Roll of plastic tape.  Scissors needed.  Job completed successfully.
So far, I have used the little fingernail file part of a Bijou more than anything else.  Several times a day.  It is the old-style pointy file, not the SD type.  I haven't used the tweezers yet.  I could just as well take them off my blue carry Classic for a weight-savings.  Along with the hefty toothpick.  But it would leave an unsightly gap which I wouldn't enjoy.  Like a peanut butter jar with the top off on a counter.  Or the auto gas tank flap thingie left open. You know what I mean, right?  Best wishes.  Gary

was out late last night so posting now. wild windy rainy storms here- classic alox main blade cut open more packages and snacks. here is a picture of it on the banana plant.

i've really been enjoying EDCing just the classic so far. its wafer thin and disappears in the pocket. although sometimes it literally disappears and i can't find it

Looking forward to seeing how it comes out!

Day 12

Friend at work was stuffed up today. He had an empty tissue box, and a roll of toilet paper. The Classic improvised.

Slow process, and quite difficult to carve with the classic, the wood is lime.

I have a request for a hey duggie now, I'll carve that out of willow wood.

Classic went with me and a friend to the local new car show in Virginia Beach.  Plenty windy, but, Classic got no action other than pocket time.  Maybe later.
Z- I like that pencil.  Used to use Koh-i-noor for many years.

some great stuff so far y'awl!
everybody's really keeping it classy with the classic  :hatsoff:

My throat is a bit raspy after recording some vocals in the studio recently so used the main blade to cut open some slippery elm lozenges.

today was going to order a classic in red alox but when I saw what they were going for it made me rationalize spending a bit more to get a different knife in red alox  :ahhh SAK logic

stay tuned

I think I’m going to bow out of this challenge.  Between being busier than I thought and my internet going out yesterday, I’ve gotten behind on posting and haven’t really been able to read the post of others.
