Casual comparison of old and new versions of the Swisschamp

Bought two new Swisschamps, one for myself, and another for a future gift.  I’d been using my older version Swisschamp for years and wanted to get a new version with the new magnifying glass and file.  Both versions are great, but I do like the new versions more because the magnifying glass and file both work better.  The magnifying glass is very clear, not distorted, and easy to read small print with.  The file is more aggressive in removing material. As for the slightly shortly inline Phillips driver on the newer versions, I’ve been using the one on my Explorer for a few years now, and haven’t had a single instance where the shorter length made any difference in functionality.  Highly recommend the Swisschamp in general, but if I were to choose between old and new, I’d pick the new.  I am glad to say they all have the same great fit and finish.

Very 😎. (Cool). Perspective!

Do you or can you share pictures of old and new to see the differences.

I sometimes find SAK on the auction site and would like to be able to determine which is which if I stumbled upon a Swiss Champ.

There is just so much info you must know today. 😜

Tank you.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Sorry I can’t do pics, but the easiest way to tell the difference between the two is that the older versions have a very different looking gray colored plastic surrounding the glass.  The newer versions have a clear plastic surround and are a little bigger.  Also on the older versions the inline Phillip and the glass almost touch when closed. The newer versions have a bit f space between the two.  No real visual difference on the file, but a clear difference to the touch.  Check out SAK wiki for pictures.
