SOG Tool tools
on: March 27, 2007, 12:42:51 AM
Is there a list or an easy way to determine exactly what tools are in each of the SOG multi tools?  I have been on the SOG website, but trying to determine what implements are in each tool has been difficult (too bad they don't have a comparison page).  I am particularly interested in the following tools:

EOD PowerLock
PowerLock
EOD PowerLock 2.0
PowerAssist

Thanks,

Eric

Well, for many of those you can try looking at the Multitool.org Tool Gallery...

http://multitool.org/component/option,com_zoom/Itemid,75/catid,1/PageNo,20/

SOG is unique in the fact that it comes with tools, but you don't have to go with what the factory says you have to have.  It's easy enough to change the tools out for the ones you want, within reason.

Def,
  Thanks for the reply.

If anyone else is interested, Jose at SOG Customer Support sent me this link (http://sogknives.com/news/press/).
If you download the "2007 SOG Catalog (Updated 2/27/07)", page 37 has a table that lists the components in the following SOG Multi-tools:
PowerLock series
PowerAssist series
EOD PowerAssist
PowerCut
EOD PowerLock 2.0
Pocket PowerPlier series
ParaTool
CrossCut
CrossGrip

Later,

Eric

Thanks for taking the time to share what you learned!  That's what this site is all about.

The last insert that came with one of my SOG purchases had the listing on the back page too... but I imagine the web page would be a bit easier to use.   ;)
