Knowing my love for small fixed blades, Dave Bowen and I made a trade a while back which left me with this little gem.  I didn't know much about it at the time, and I don't know a lot more about it now, other than what is on the website.

It's a nice little knife but I never carry it because there seems to be no good way to carry it.  The Tek Lok makes the sheath far too bulky for such a small knife and the kydex itself doesn't really hold the knife all that well, so if you wore it as a neck knife, any sudden jolt will cause you to be out about $100.  I meant to send it to Eric at On Scene to make a better sheath for it, but I just haven't gotten around to it.  I'm not entirely certain I really want to go to the bother.



That having been said, the knife itself is exquisite.  There isn't anything on the knife itself that isn't absolutely perfect, and the blade is thick enough that it should be able to take some abuse without suffering, yet thin enough that it still cuts- unlike some other knives I own that are really too thick to put an edge on.



I like this knife a lot, and maybe someday I'll get around to having a proper sheath done for it so I can see if it works as good as it looks!

Maybe some paracord and a cordlock instead of the teklok?

That sheath is too big.  I'm not a fan of the paddle style either.  I like to fold the kydex around the spine of the knife, and just do the eyelets on one side.   I carry a mora 510 in a sheath that way as a neck knife when I work around the house.

I've thought of that, but I think I'm just better off waiting until Eric can do the sheath right.  It's kind of sad that you spend this kind of money on a fixed blade and can't get a decent sheath with it.  I'm thinking a foldover sheath is the way to go too.

A heat gun is really all you need to fix kydex.  Just mask off the sheath except for the very end, heat it up until just flexible and mold it to the handle with your fingers.   Gloves recommended.

Tops also has terrible, terrible sheaths, and kind of a kick in the stones for how you pay for the knives.

Sadly there isn't enough of this sheath to re-work into a better sheath.  I think the fold over is the best way to go which means new kydex.

Of course I find it easier to send it to Eric- the man knows kydex like no one else I've seen.
