Nice phone!

I am pretty fond of my HTC Touch:

I use it all the time for email, text messages, reading e-books, limited amount of surfing (small screens suck for surfing, no matter what phone/PDA it is) and yes, even for something as odd as voice communication protocols (phone!).  Smartphones are da best, and kick those Crackberries' butts!  :D

I used to be really bothered about my phones, always upgraded / renewed when something new came out.

Now, I really can't stand the bloody things. I do carry one most ofthe time, but it's usually on silent at the bottom of my bag.

I have a Blackberry Storm for work, and I hate the thing with a passion. I can get no peace, ever  ::)

When I rule the world, I will ban mobile phones, or at least allow emergency calls only.

Bah Humbug.

Nice phone btw CG ;)

I really fancied the E71 but its classed as a high end business phone so I couldn't get it for reasonable money on the kind of minimal contract that I'd use :(

I've been on PAYG since August just figuring out what my real world useage is.  I'd figured after a couple of months that I'd be better off on a low cost contract than PAYG so started looking at phones.

Bloody hell they don't make it easy.  :ahhh Just when I think I've decided on one I find its not available on a network I can make use of or it'll cost me an arm and a leg per month.  So I procrastinated for far too long before doing what most folk do and saying "that one will do" ;)

The other day I made the jump from a Nokia 1100 to an XDA Zest (made by Asus).  Hasn't crashed on me yet, always a positive sign I find on fancy phones :)

nice score!

i'd love to get back to a pda phone / smart phone or even a crack berry.  but i'm broke and cant afford a data plan.

i can only afford 500 texts a month, unless you are with vzw then its unlimited!

The HTC Touch is the only model available from my carrier with an unlimited data plan, which made my choice pretty easy!  :D  I thought about getting one with the slide out keyboard but it didn't come with the plan... so I went with this one and I'm quite happy with it.  I don't surf much with it as I hate surfing on a small screen, so I really only use the data for weather reports (built in to the custom home screen) and email.

Of course I wasn't really interested in a SmartPhone, I just got one because my PDA was having issues, and it was either $400 for a new PDA or a free hardware upgrade on my cell plan.  With my Scottish genes, it wasn't a hard choice!  :D
