I could see something this size with a nice, beefy blade & a manly pair of pliers & half a dozen bits.

If people really will carry something this big, then maybe there is hope for the design we were working on last Spring, huh Bob?

If you get Knipex pliers on a multi then people probably will start carrying it even if it's a little big.

The bits are hard to get out for the Phillips & too easy for the flat driver.

Tom

When I read that I just thought you have hit the reason I like a separate bit adapter so much. Just yank off the adapter and use the pliers to get the awkward bits out. I even have to do that with my dedicated bit drivers (use pliers to remove some awkward bits, especially in cold weather).

The Phillips has loosened up & is much easier to get out after a couple days.

I haven't totally dropped the idea.  I guess I should get back to a model.

Hey, sorry.  I wasn't trying to  :pok: ya or anything.  I only recently saw a pair of Knipex pliers and was so impressed with their function that I thought your earlier idea, if brought to fruition, might be enough to get people to carry a slightly bigger tool.  I think all of us will be interested to see your progress with this as it comes.  It's what these forums were made for!   :)

I think in this case it makes sense to offer two tools that move into recently abandoned multitool territory and have them manufactured in China. Seems like it would keep the risk down for the company and still make them available to as many people as possible?

Especially the Guppie. The Zilla-Tool seems more mainstream, the Guppie just seems weirder.

Here's a little video I did of the Zilla. Still working on making a full-length video review.

I like it!! Short, to the point, lots of quick action. Much better than my videos, which tend to drag on endlessly.

Was that your first take?

Thanks, I need to work on the lighting a little bit, it came out much darker than anticipated. Narration is another thing I'm working on, seems a script is the best idea.

In total I did four different takes, the first one was 6 minutes or so and about 400 megabytes. Way too big for youtube and a little bit too much blabbing on my part. This one was the shortest one without narration that still showed off some of the important things about the tool.

I think you're on the right track to keep it short and sweet. Most folks these days (including me!  :P) don't have a very long attention span.
