Seeing those fancy Surefires in the other thread reminded me of a handy searchlight we used to play with while camping.  It was a Q Beam 1 million candlepower spot lamp.  You had to plug it into a 12 volt outlet, but I think they came out with a rechargeable one eventually.  With all the lights that are out nowadays, did QBeam just disappear or are they still cranking stuff out?
