Cool Swapmeet Tapemeasure
on: April 19, 2009, 06:12:01 AM
Today i killing some tome at a Flea Market I found cool little Pacific Gas And Electric tape measure That looks kinda of like a Zippo lighter. It is a 72 inch tape measure and it was made buy Barlow. I paid 50 cents for it. Has anyone ever seen a tape measure like this before. I put my Zippo next to it to give you an idea how big it is.

I think Alcohol, Tabacco and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

I have a friend that got one of those years ago,and it was made by Zippo. His and my understanding that Zippo used blems that couldn't pass QC to make them,or at least hand off to somebody that made tape measures from them.

That would explain then being the same shape as a  zippo.

I looked i don't think they still make them. I did a search on ebay and found both Zippo and Barlow used tape measures.

I was looking at getting a zippo one recently and they still fetch decent money for what they are. They are really nice though :)

I think they mostly had promotional logos on them rather than just being plain.

They seem like a nice idea.  I picked up as Stanley 1m keyring measure recently as I find having a small measure handy.  It works fine but its very plasticy :(

Oh dear, I'm a tape measure snob  :ahhh
