Great stuff!

I'm revisiting something I was carrying earlier this week before the  surgery. A pretty comprehensive EDC in a relatively lightweight package.

I always carry a box cutter/utility blade, which get used every day breaking down Amazon boxes, opening clam shell packages and all manner of other things.  Nothing slices like a utility blade. Throw in a carbide blade for long life, and just replace as necessary - which isn't often.  My EDC light gets the most use, but a box cutter and Sharpie are a close second.  Today I'm trying out the Milwaukee Fastback.  The blade has a button lock that prevents it from deploying in your pocket, and the driver is secured with a liner lock.  It comes with a reversible 1/4" bit that is held in place with a ball bearing detent.  The phillips is a nice, big #2 which I prefer.  It has a bottle opener and wire stripper.  Don't get those mixed up or your beer will taste funny and your motorcycle won't start.  If you always wanted a Gerber Center-Drive, but only have US$16, this one is for you.

I like the idea of the Fastback 6 in 1, and really like that the driver has a lock!

I had mr. Pinchy with me earlier but switched it out for the Pulse to save a few grams and mm.s in my bag.

Thanks, you too! Your carry has a classic and relaxed yet experienced and prepared feeling to it, as it often does.

Yeah, cool picture!

Carrying the reshaped scissors of my "wingkick". It helped me cut some bandages to size and some wrist bands and then leather off my nearly used up shoes. The wingman scissors unmodded are good for paper and light materials but their geometry is wrong for tougher stuff. Modded like this they cut much more like Vic. 91mm scissors, just not quite as precise at the tip.

Is that custom build? When I got my wingman brand new it had sidekick scales on it :O I also called it wingkick or sideman :D

Yeah, mostly just modified Wingman scissors on a Sidekick in place of the saw but check out more pics here, though this was before reshaping the scissors: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,74592.210.html (bottom of page 8 of 'showcase: mods to plier-based multitools' thread.

Sweet mods done to that Wingkick. If I had those tools in my old tool I probably would have not gave it to my friend but kept it myself :)

Thanks Psg, yeah that Wingkick is probably one of my favorite edc tools because of the good blade and scissors on the outside, a decent set of extra tools and light weight smaller/thinner size. The Curl is very similar but with a somewhat higher quality feel at the tradeoff of less accessible scissors (and the obvious toolset differences).

With the grind and thin bladestock I actually really like the Sidekick knife as it does a good job with light tasks and can be excellent for food prep.

Can't go wrong with my default carry today.

Awesome pics. Always enjoy some nice views with MTs!

I feel the same of the Wingman and the Curl. I like the Curl because it has scissors but I prefer more the ones on my Squirt as they open while the handles are closed. I tend to use the tools more that are the most accesible. But the Curl scissors are good quality ones and Im happy to use them on tougher materials also
