Bear with me here - there are multiple tools further down.

Sometimes things just align/fit perfectly. This day was one of those occasions.

After a really cold and long spring I went to our summer house on Åland to launch the boat for the season (I have prepped the boat during winter).

And this Thursday there was suddenly sun and warmth! It started cloudy but turned sunny when I launched.

In front of my grandfathers boat building shop:

In front of his boat house:

The sun came:

Cigar, my multitool grab bag (Knipex x 2, Wave, torchlight, bits, ratchet driver, etc...) and Pioneer X:

Nothing in the boat (interior or engine) yet - want to see the leakage:

A well deserved Lonkero (gin and grape)

I totally agree on all the nice carries! But hrm,.. The sea. Not a lake. Sea. As in the Baltic sea.  ;)

This evening the sun came down at a nice angle for a new picture.

Carry for today was the LD42-B (same as the other one I have but with a saw)

@Farmer X
The 111mm is a „sentinel clip“ with a self-printed  scale for biro and needle.
Best regards Ben

Great carries and scenery!

@FarmerX the watch you asked about was a modern Seiko automatic movement in a vintage Tolex submariner style case with a high dome acrylic crystal. I like the vintage Rolex style but don't want to deal with the price or upkeep!

Here's from the last few days. These small pliers have been really handy for pulling out cardboard staples and all kinds of other small tasks.

Lately I've been leaving my shabby SAK at home more, and when I need pliers I take the trusty Gerber, but when I don't want to burden my pockets, the rusty old Scout knife, because it does have a decent phillips screwdriver.   Shown here but not carried, is a wrench I was reminded of by a post upthread about Bahco Swedish adjustable wrenches. Way back in the wayback days, SAAB cars carried a tool kit (as did Peugeots, whose kit was superb, as you'd expect since Peugeot was a major tool manufacturer), and in it was a rather nice Bahco wrench.  It's rather unusual in that its handle is a small tire lever!  I can''t quite imagine that being very handy on a car tire especially since there was only the one, but there it is.  The post above reminds me that I should brush this one up a little and throw some oil at it.

e.t.a. little known trivia.  For some odd reason, back in the 1960's Saabs used SAE threads and bolt sizes, rather than metric.  I never found out why. And an addtional bit:  this wrench reads "Volvo" on one side, but I know for sure that it was originally in the tool kit for a 1961 Saab!

Bruto, Aerospace fasteners were commonly SAE during this time period. Saab also produces aircraft so this is probably why you see SAE fasteners in older Saab cars.

That makes sense.  My dad had a couple of the old "cornpopper" Saabs (two stroke, three cylinder) back in the 60's, when Saab was still quite actively an aircraft company.  I did some of my driving learning on the '61, which was quite an interesting car.  Because it had freewheeling, you could pass going down a hill at idle.  It was also notorious for understeering.  If you tried to power through a turn, it would plow straight ahead, but if you backed off the gas, it would pop back into line.  Later he gave his first one to my sister, and bought a '65, which had its own quirk:  it blew smoke rings at idle.  We also discovered, owing to a mechanic's mistake, that if you adjusted the timing in the wrong direction, the engine would run backwards. Unfortunately the other thing we learned was that the roller bearing bottom end could fail suddenly and catastrophically.  The transition from "funny noise" to "tow it to the junkyard" was negligible.

The manufacturer touted the simplicity of its valveless engine, with "only seven moving parts."  Seeing the ad on TV one night my dad remarked, "yeah, six squirrels and a cat with a whip."

Got back from overseas on Tuesday and was asked by my mate to help do some stuff (her husband is laid up up in bed with a knackered back)

I used my mini rachet type thing & universal socket to sort out their garden lights and then my Oknife (courtesy of Grant & the Maxpedition GAW) to open the packaging on their new under counter fridge-freezer)

Awl went well  :tu:
They don't like it up 'em!
