Looking good Antti!

I am going with a very well used Swisstool X and complementing it with the companion.

Had some really strong wings here recently so I loosened most of the trampoline springs and today I put them all back. I used my  :climber: for the job both times.

So, between deployments, Mrs Surge and I have been doing bits in the new place as we're moving over the next 6 weeks or so  :ahhh

Yesterday I was ordered asked to "do some stuff" so I went and "did some stuff" It was mostly removing things like brackets from walls and installing a door chain etc.

I used a few of the tools that seem to come with me everytime I do this along with some dedicated things (but where's the fun in them)  :dunno:

Stay safe awl... :salute:
They don't like it up 'em!

Renegade. Inexpensive Walmart fishing section offering, early '00s.

Squirts these days are so hard to find, I'd end up having to practically sell a kidney if I lost mine. Thus, it got retired.

I've seen these "Micras with Pliers" copies way too many times, and got curious if they were actually any good or not. The owner of a local antique store often kept this one handy for various small tasks, and I traded him another tool for it, as it looked promising.

Surprisingly--it's not bad. The pliers are perfect for my uses, and have a shot splitter for when I go fishing. Great scissors too. So, looks like it is gonna see a trial run as my super-light, super-small MT.  The PowerPint has been a Juice replacement with my needs.

I’m carrying my Trim Trio in my ultra minimalist EDC today.  If I need anything else I use my Waiter and Rmabler SAKs.

Thanks. Today I used a PST during some yard work to touch up some tools, bend wire, cut wire and cut rope.

Decide to carry the Free K4.
I don’t carry it much because it is a little bulky for pocket carry.

I used to carry my fancy Charge TTI on my belt, in the nylon case with horizontal belt loops (which they discontinued for no damned reason) but for one thing, I was worried about losing it or damaging it, so I switched to a cheaper Gerber Suspension NXT, in a plastic swivel holster that I got from Aliexpress.  So far, I haven't lost it, but if I do, I won't feel nearly so bad as if I had lost my Charge TTI.

Really, LM needs to go back to the drawing board on the Crater C33T, not really the Free.

There needs to be a decent hybrid between the two. If I remember correctly, my C33T didn't have locks on the drivers. The Craters do.  The Free T series (even my T2) is hefty--Craters aren't. Also--fewer tools than the Spartan--but FOUR layers and almost twice the weight?!! With the C33T, you can use bits with the Removable Tool Adapter. Free-no. LM hasn't had the sense to release a version with a bit driver, though I think it would be a HUGE improvement.

Those are good points. I do feel though that they cater to different wants/needs with the Free series emphasizing easy/quick to open locking tools and using 'quality feel' materials - fun to hold and play around with.

With all of the Free series tools I own I've modified the Philips to fit the bit adapter which makes them a lot more versatile.

But for compact light tools, Victorinox is still king for sure!
