Normally a Maintenance Engineer but for the last couple of years a full time Dad.  The fatherhood bit is much better but the pay stinks.  :D

According to my wife, my job is making her life difficult... and I perform so well I think I'm due a raise!  :D

By day I'm a cargo surveyor.  I assess the condition of cargo when it changes hands from one shipper to another (ie from boat to a train), report any damages, confirm volumes and document everything.  This is a more relaxed version of the security/investigation field I had to retire from when I got far too busted up to keep competing at the level I was at.  At night I'm the head doorman at a local pub, as I like to not only keep busy, but I also like to keep a foot in the door (so to speak) in the industry I have been a part of for well over a decade.

In what I laughingly refer to as my "spare" time, I run the empire you see before you.  It consists of, among other things, the world's largest Swiss Army Knife collector's and enthusiast organization (www.SOSAKOnline.com) and this site, which is pretty well the only real resource available to the multitool user and collector.

Oh yeah, and I run my dogs on a regular basis, play the odd round of paintball and kayak when I get a chance, but those really aren't a job...  :D

I do lot of different security work. I do guard duty on the subway (catching punks doing graffiti), do ticket inspection on the buses, making sure that people that are traveling from Norway to Denmark are how they say they are and that they are old enough (age limit is 18 on a one way ticket and 25 when you are on a 24 hour cruise) and on Friday and Saturday night we stand guard where the nightly buses goes from (we call them drunk buses) and make sure that everyone pays and that everything goes nice and orderly (that almost never happens).

At the moment I am drooling over a security job at the American Embassy but one of the requirements is that you have drivers license and I don’t have that.
