Anyone familiar with "Magnum a Division of Boker" knives?  I believe they are made in China.  Is the quality any good?

It´s a lottery. Some Magnums are quite good, some are really bad. Seems they have some manufactrers under contract and not all of them are worth the money. But to be honest, the best Magnum i´ve ever handled was still second to the worst Byrd I´ve ever handled - same with BM red class. Magnum are inexpensive, and may be OK for the money, but do not expect too much.

My experience, yours may be different from mine.

The only Magnums I have had contact with were Subcoms and a Trance , I thought the build quality was great for the money .

Subcom and Trance are sold under the Boker Plus brand, and are produced in Taiwan IIRC.

Boker Plus fit and finish are very good for the money, noticeably better fit and finish than the Byrds I own.

Boker Magnum is a different brand, aimed at low end buyers and made in mainland China IIRC.  Don't own any so can't comment on their quality.

True, but Magnum is not like Böker Plus - Magnum is far worse than most Böker Plus.

I was disappointed with my Boker Magnum. I bought a canoe and it just felt like crap and it won't hold an edge. Guess for under 10 bucks what can one expect?

Thanks for the info.  I've not seen this brand in stores - only online.  Guess I'll stick with something I can try before I buy.

Holding a tool or knife in your hand is the best selling point there is.

I bought my first pocket clip knife about 12 years ago, it was a Boker Magnum.  I just stopped carrying it about a year ago in favor of a multi.  Maybe I was lucky but my Magnum has served me very well and I would not hesitate to buy another (but like I said maybe I just got lucky).

Just got these Magnum Knifes 2day, they are really pretty decent quality, sharp 440 blades, top knife is a lockback, and bottom is linerlock. rubber inserts on black knife just ok, not quite flush with the surface. overall I'm pleased with the purchase, paid about $16 shipped for both from 2 sellers on ebay:
