Had my last normal day at work today (working tomorrow and sunday too). Been working at a museum for the last 7 years, part time/summer job. Not until this year I managed to get my bosses to buy Leathermans for the summer employees. Last year a guy who didn't have his own actually went as far as to use a shovel to try to whack the grass trimmer line enough to cut it. Ironically the boss bought the cheapest LMs he found, which were the Leatherman Flair...which are specialized for wine tasting or whatever (has a cork screw, big bottle opener and a fork)

Anyways, part of the museum is a 240 meter long tunnel that is shaped like a U and goes into the mountain side. If you didn't know it was a museum you'd think it was a mine (which is fitting, since it's a rock blasting museum). Was workig in the tunnel today changing lightbulbs and that's a Leatherman job between having to unscrew lids to get to lightbulbs on weird-ass lamps, prying off lamp covers etc. Used an electric lift to do the work since the tunnel ceiling is high-ish. love the lift, you can actually drive it and do so from the basket using a joystick. Completely self-powered and silent due to the electric motor, and heavy enough not to need any safety clamps deployed. Don't know if it's a new kind of lift or whatever but I haven't seen many of them, mostly I see those annoying trailer lifts that take forever to deploy.

Unfortunately a bit blurry pictures, the downside of having the controls in the basket is that any bump in the road is amplified a lot.

Also emptied garbage cans around the museum park, and the pliers can replace a triangle key when necessary.

That looks excellent Tony, very neat job with the wedges too. :tu:

+1  8) 8)

You could paint the wedges red & the rest white , be just like the pommy flag  :D :D.

Nice work Tony  :tu: :tu:

Used my Blue Farmer to adjust the chainsaw, open the chain lube cap and open the green beans for the dogs. I've been using my Farmer more than my Leatherman lately!

I was having dinner with the wife at Marlton Diner.  And I had to use the pliers on my LM Skeletool CX to open a stuck cap on a bottle of tabasco!!

here's something I read in the newspaper to make you think: 'they've been married so long they're on their second bottle of tabasco sauce'.

probably only makes sense outside of the U.S., in Germany (where I work as a waiter whilst studying), they complain about how the thai curry they ordered was very spicy, I'm reduced to saying 'yes, I know, its a curry [idiots]' :-\

Sorry Jmora, not to be disrespectful but its not the customers fault, there are many thai curry brands that are exported all over the world, ranging from very mild to very hot. :(

No problem, I'm really making fun of my customers who can't handle a bit of chilli, the more spicy food you can handle, the more you will appreciate the food made around the equator generally. Anyway, not to hijack this thread, I used my vintage ribbed alox cadet to cut up an apple, which had a growth around its core reminding me of a human rectal sphincter, I just couldn't eat that thing the way it was.

While on my recent adventure across the northwest US and Southwest canada, I used my Explorer a lot.  I used it to cut off small tree branches and then sharpen them into s'mores sticks for roasting marshmallows, then pulled out the magnifier to find the tips of splinters my son acquired while climbing around the deck of our cabin.  I used the tweezers to extract the ones that were sticking out and the small blade to get the ones that were deeper.  I used the phillips and flatheads to tighten several loose screws on door frames in our "hotel" room in BC.  The scissors got a lot of use as beard trimmers and loose thread eliminators.  I love this knife, really excited to put the on the new ruby plus scales that rotokid sent me.  I have all the plus accessories to go with it as well.

On another note, I was shocked with how much force I could apply with the main blade.  I really put some pressure on it cutting some of those branches down, and it took every bit of it and came back for more.

Camera...? Phone...? Cameraphone.........?

While at Hixon Falls yesterday, between hiking in and jumping off the waterfall, I used my CX to open copious amounts of bottles... Bottles of the beer persuasion.  :drink:

I used an explorer to remove a speaker cone from what was once ( to me ) a rather expensive centre speaker to see exactly how far a three year old finger had poked in.

The answer was a lot  :-\

Used the butter knife on my Spirit S to cut open a case of energy drinks at work. In the process of quickly slicing open the plastic shrink wrapping, the butter knife sliced clean through a whole line of like 8 cans of Full Throttle. I'm not kidding when I say I felt ZERO resistance on the knife as this happened, in fact I didn't even notice it happened until green energy drink started spraying out all over the place lol. Man that blade is wicked.

I had a very light day yesterday and today; yesterday I used my Maratac AAA to search for a lost SD card, which was thankfully found, while today I used my Peanut to open a plastic bin of croissants, and the large flathead/bottle opener/crate lifter/cricket bat of my Spirit X to reattach a camera flash to it's bracket. :)

I used the reamer on my farmer to scratch my name into the finish of a car on saturday  :ahhh

Don't worry, all legal. It was the car of a geocacher and he turned it into a geocache. To log it you had to scratch the name into the finish (throuhg the finish). I hadn't thought that it was so hard to do, took me quite a while and it didn't look nice at all  :pok:

- magnifying lens - read some really really small letters on some contract (you know those things you should read but you never do whilst they are so tiny)
- Small blade - opened some mail boxes
- Pliers - picked up something that did not look healthy at all from floor and throw it in trash

But day is still young....   :D
