I got an old gas stove as a backup for power outages... A tough cast iron one... With a broken leg...

No problem!

This is the regular leg & bolt

The broken one only needed a washer

Tightened with the ST300

Cut the regulator thread

Forced the hose on to the brass fitting

Ah crap!  It's the wrong thread on the regulator...

Oh well...that's what I did with my multi tool today  :drink:

I'll need a screwdriver later today to put the tags on  my wifes new vehicle

SOG Pocket PowerPlier ( #S44 ) will handle the job at hand ..

Why do I carry a 45 ?
Because they don't make a 46 !

the thread on the regulator is correct. its the threads on your gas tank that are wrong; well not wrong but just really old. the new OPD valves from new propane tanks will fit that regulator.
just get a new tank.

So, the electric PTO switch on the zero turn radius Woods mower died.   I needed a trio of tools to fix this one.  Guppie was used to unbolt the fender/cover to access the electric panel.   Vic Farmer cap lifter/pry tip was used to get the old switch loose from the plastic clips.   And finally, used a Skeletool for pliers duty (holding captive nuts and pulling fuses as needed).

The whole process took several hours since I had to troubleshoot the dang thing (is it the switch, the fuse, the harness or the electromagnet at the PTO)?  Skeletool and Vic Farmer were invaluable.

You're right about that; fortunately the tank is a Blue Rhino tank and I was checking with the exchange center at Home Depot; they told me all I need to do is take my tank  and they'll swap it for a new one with the newer thread.

I used my sideclip to make a repair on a bike today, the chain had popped off so I had to remove the chain guard and adjust the tension.  Any excuse to use it!

Not today, but last weekend I used my VIC soldier to repair a broken zipper (used the large screwdriver) and used the blade to eat my steak at a local public party (I hate those plastic knives they give you for that...!)

Funny how people give strange looks when you do that!  I use my soldier for everything, and it's always clean because I clean it regularly, but folks are just wary of knives in general anymore.

So true! I always clean my soldier after I use it (and even if not, it's my food that I eat with it...). You have to be careful if and where you use it. It was a good feeling a few days ago when I attended a photography workshop and almost everyone seemed to have a SAK or an Opinel in their pocket  :tu:

Due to the very hot weather, my tomatoes, in my garden, are now a kind of jungle. Well, it's the first time I'm gardening so I might done something wrong too. I mean, I have the pole, the plant, but never tried to tight them. Okay.. don't ask

So I took some nylon cord to fix the problem, but that cord is a kind of elastic, fraying easily making it surprisingly hard to cut. :-\

But for my SOG and it's serrated knife...  >:D ... the cord is cut like a charm. :D

Nothing exciting here. Used the Skeletool to help get into a socket set case that was being stubborn. Used the Chigger to pry open the back of my Photon Freedom to change batteries and open a bottle of orange Crush.
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

I used my vic soldier awl to drill two holes into my wall and plug them with plastic anchors, then the phillips on my blast to screw in the mounting screws for my new corkboard.  both performed flawlessly.  I then proceeded to begin my sideclip polishing project by testing my wheel on the clip, got it red hot, and used the clip to melt some skin off my hand quite by accident.  It um, also performed flawlessly, as my middle finger is currently bandaged and throbbing.  Note to self, use something to grip the part you are polishing next time instead of your bare hand.   :twak:  ::)

Used my Leatherman BLAST's mini philips driver to remove the tiny screws that hold the pocket clip on my Dereelight CL1H v.3 flashlight.

In the beginning I thought of those mini drivers as little to no use items... Every couple of days I use them and like them more...

I use the nailcleaner-flathead/phillips head combo on the nailfile of my style CS to unscrew a couple of socket covers in the employee lounge :multi:

Used the Wave to rewire a light switch to be on the other side of a room.  Cutting wire, stripping, lots of wire bending, screwplates, the whole shebang.  I have learned that the Wave is a handy-dandy tool to have for such small repairs, but stripping a lot of wire with that awkward stripper geegaw would get old pretty fast.
Half-ass done wholeheartedly!

I use the hardwire notch on the wire cutters for stripping.  Quicker and easier.

Amici,
Today I used my SOG Powerlock to unbolt and remove a set of louvers covering the rear window of my car since it was going in for a wash and I wanted a nice clean rear window!

Cheers,
Serge

At 85 MPH, we heard a dragging sound outside the car. This has been a recurring problem where the plastic moulding under the front of the car was torn and pieces of it drag on the ground. I used my ST300 pliers and cutters along with my Gerber Exchange-A-Blade razor knife to cut off the offending piece so we could continue the ride home. Thanks Leatherman and Gerber!  :tu:  :salute:

I used the flat head in my Super Tinker to pry a laptop plug out of a live wall socket.

Surprisingly, I lived to make this post.

Well my Spirit X has been hard at work this week helping me with some cable pulling (installing new data lines and power).  So plenty of cable cutting/stripping, cutting cable ties, prying, cutting/filing plastic trunking, making breakfast, screwing, etc etc.
