Just used my Alox Electrician's main blade to dice up some red onion for my tuna sandwich for tomorrow's lunch.

I used my Rebar in a new and rather useful way.  I extended the handles to make it one long arm, then deployed the can opener to reach an item on a top shelf that was just out of my reach.  I also tried this with the file deployed at around 90 degrees and it worked very well as an arm/hand extension to pull an item towards me.  This is a very handy use for me as I'm somewhat vertically challenged :P

Very true.  We're only limited by our imagination when it comes to these things.  The Rebar is a good multitool imo, so I hope you enjoy it once you get one :tu:

I had given myself a head shaving a little while ago and my wife pointed out a couple strays that must have escaped the electric trimmer.  Out comes the Executive and I used the scissors to snip them off :tu:

Nothing yet today, but this weekend the Balance opened packages, pulled staples, tightened screws on the garden gate, opened beers, and a bag of compost

The light bulb in the bathroom blew, so I used the Photon light attached to my Executive to see while using the large flathead on my Explorer to unscrew the light cover to replace the bulb. No pics of the action as it was dark and both hands were in use.

got up to a field to move the irrigator round, hydraulic pipe was pissing oil everywhere so couldn't lift the legs up. Despite most of our tractors struggling to move for toolboxes we'd managed to take the one that didn't have anything more than a hammer. Got out the Rave, sorted the fittings out, job sorted  :tu:

Also used it to dismantle a broken ozone machine and change a light fitting.

I used my Rave to adjust the carb on my lawn mower for the first mow of the year. Also used it to free up the linkage on my neighbors mower.

I just used my Alox Electrician's main blade to slice up some green pepper for a snack.  That blade is really sharp.  It slices much better than my kitchen knives :tu:

:D :D  Wife couldn't get some body lotion out of the round plastic bottlle it was in so she asked me to saw (!!) it open with the beater Vic Camper I have lying aroung. I used the saw to make the initial incision point just for the sake of it, then cheerfully snapped the large blade open and cut the thing in two. There was much lotion left in it but the main point is wife was impressed :o by how smoothly did the SAK cut through the bottle. She didn't say anything but I could just see it. That's the third point SAKs scored on her this month

Nice :tu:  It's always cool to score wife points with your MT/SAK, especially if she's the type who  ::) or  about the fact that you have a few of them ;)

That's a great wife/SAK point!

My wife doesn't care much for SAKs/MTs until the time she needs a knife that really cuts... So, I leave all the knives in the house unsharpened except my SAKs/MTs... That way, I subliminally educate her that they are truly necessary if someone wants their job done :D

Next step, I am going to place a Classic on her keys :D

Haha, that's a clever way to work it.  That's true for me as well, our kitchen knives are not as sharp as any of the knives on the MTs/SAKs I own.  My wife doesn't care about them either, but she does when she needs scissors or a knife handy and I'm the one with the tool for the job.  I actually have put a Classic on her keyring in her purse, but she doesn't use it much, if at all.  She usually just asks me for whatever I'm carrying.

I just can't bring myself to that point of not sharpening knives to prove a point, I just love to keep everything in the house sharp in case it needs used. But then, my wife does value the SAKs and MTs that we have. It is a clever way to go about it though, if that's an issue.

Had a bike chain with no key and couldn't find the hacksaw. So the swisschamp's file cut almost all, and the wave wire cutters finished the job.

It isn't like that, it's more like Zen... I just leave the knives unsharpened and, naturally, the point is proven by itself :D

Just let the river flow :D Fortunately my wife was way cooler about SAKs/MTs piling up than I thought she would and she does appreciate sharp things -she got that from her dad  :D but she just won't use them. She doesn't have the nails to open the implements  :-\ and she's afraid of how sharp they are. I keep explaining to her that sharp is safer but to no avail, I think. The knives in our kitchen vary from bluntish to quite sharp so we cover most tasks. She has these repulsive warncliff tip, viciously serrated kitchen knives that I cannot wear out that take care of what she is cutting. Otherwise, she will work the scissors. Actually, I find her combo quite scary. She seems to like her yellow Classic however, that's something!

Very unusuall but it saved me a lot of pain and discomfort. Dinner brake en route (im a driver) at KFC. My tooth chipped/broke (at the back of my mouth) leaving sharp and jagged edge that really hurted my tongue. Used a diamond file from my Surge to file down the problem a little. This will keep me sain through the weekend.

And my favourite whenever I get a chance. Cutting off bells from cats collars...

Pried open the mrs' Streamer (a bluetooth device that works with hearing aids) with the LM KF4 to get the rechargeable battery out to replace it (hopefully).

This was a few days ago, but I just got around to uploading pics.  The base jaws in my Lathe finally gave up the ghost after a few years of running really heavy stuff.  Luckily I caught it as I was loading a 700 lb part and we ordered a new set.

I took the chuck off(takes a crane to do it) and used my ST300 to remove the lock screws from the lock pins that hold the jaw screws in place.

I then had to use a makeshift puller to get the pins out.

We bought new jaw screws and base jaws, and after I finished rebuilding the chuck my buddy and I put it back in the machine.  I had to climb in to align it while he put the bolts in.  (the machine was Locked out and E-stopped, so it couldn't be accidentally turned on!) There really was no other way to do it.
