EDD: Every Day Driver - What's yours?
on: July 20, 2009, 04:30:44 PM
This strikes me as not fitting into any forum specifically, so I dropped it here.  If the Admin types think it belongs elsewhere, please move it, by all means.

As far as this poll goes, I was curious as to whether our EDC/uber-preparedness and MT fetishes would reflect on what we select for daily drivers.  EMT, LEO and FF  :police: types I understand are going to have their work vehicles, and most volunteer FFs (bless their hearts) have modified daily drivers that can handle their demanding alternate professions.  I'd like everyone to feel free to post, and no one to feel embarrassed about what they drive.  I recently purchased a newer car (which I may post about should there be sufficient interest; I don't want this to be a brag, just informative) and got out of driving an older sports coupe that was darn near beat to the grave.  I suppose that's another thing that initiated my interest, but I digress.   ::)  Please feel free to post and vote.  Thanks!

STik - cuzza what he drives, how he welds, and how he's built...   :D

Good points guys.  Sorry it wasn't thought out as well as it should've been.  Mods have been made, let me know if I missed anything.   :-[

I guess a Honda Accord falls under the sedan label? *shrugs*

As far as an Accord goes, that would depend on generation/body style, etc.  I know that there are some that would be considered sport coupes, and some that would be family wagons.  Use your best judgement.  No one will holler, especially around these parts.   :D

A Ford Mondeo here.  Mine is actually a large hatchback rather than a saloon (sedan) but it's the same chassis.

Ok.  I was thinking of the generation that's in some of the racing games I play.  I love the body styling on them, but I can see what you have growing on me, too.   :)  Enjoy!

Same for me- I have a bright yellow (see my avatar? :D) 2000 Jeep TJ Sport with the 4.0L inline six and a 5 speed manual.  I also fit in the "Sport Coupe" category as I also have (wife's car, but she rarely drives) a red 2000 Pontiac Sunfire with the 2.2L and an automatic transmission.

And I voted "guzzler" because it's my main ride, and no Jeeper out there would want to be put in the RAV-4 or CRV type category!   :ahhh

A late 2008 Nissan Note, so a Minivan. It´s not a macho car, but for car taxes are high here depending on horsepower and fuel consumption and gas is expensive (1,4 bucks a litre) I can not afford a Pickup or 4x4 - even if I´d love to have one. BTW: A brand new Ford F-150, cheapest version is about 55.000 Dollars here. Thanks to import cost, customs and taxes.
