.. and I decided that the reason I never carried this guy is because the yellow handles were too smooth and slippery. So, after carefully studying the patterns on other jigged handles, I decided to try it myself. So I took my dremel and did this:

Sorry some of them came out a little blurry, but you get the idea. Not bad for a first time modder, or jigger, or whatever you want to call it. LOL.

Looks like a factory production model!  Does it improve the grip a lot?

...and where'd the Case logo go? :D

This is my ugly duckling.  When I got it, I noticed there was a huge gap between the brass liner housing the shield side scale, and the spring.  The other end of the knife, the ends of the springs, are ground at an angle, so it it all crooked down there.  The shield fell off about a week after I got it.  And I accidentally closed the sheepsfoot blade on my thumb, although it didn't get stuck in my finger, as the CV blades get such a sharp edge that it sliced right through using just the spring's pressure.  I always wanted to carry this guy because it had such character, but those smooth scales were slippery as all get out.  So in a drawer it went.  Now, it is in my pocket, ready for duty.

Really nice job mate, and you could easily fill that hole where the shield was with some nice glow powder mixed with epoxy  :pok: :D

Yeah, I've thought about filling it in, but then it would take away from it's character, you know?  I like it as is.  Plus, the empty space is another tale I'll be able to talk about years from now.
