My mod/restoration of this knife

Neil has kindly offered to give me the black knife in the photo below on the grounds that I do something with it! So what handle material should I go for?

Life is like a sandwich...the older it gets the crustier it becomes!

Unless you're prepared to paint the wood vivid pink then I'd go for something synthetic. ;)

If you can find a source of it at a reasonable cost I'm up for it! Had a quick nosey round and the only bright colour I can find is Orange (not that i'd be against that!) :-\

I'm only aware of orange in the nice and bright dept.  Where were you looking at getting it from?

How about cotton wool in the colours pink,white and blue this would represent the society our Government are trying to mould ATM  :D :D

Now a more serious option would be titanium scales  :tu:

Ever tried working with buffalo horn...? Smells like burnt hair, but looks  :drool:.. :)

I don't buy my wood from knifemaking suppliers anymore. I buy "turning blanks" from a woodturning supplier. The quality of the wood is often better and cheaper...plus there is more variety.

I've only found a supplier of pen blanks in the UK and the blanks are too small :(    Anyone recommend a UK supplier?
