Lets talk about LM123... things are getting slow w/o him around..

Has anyone seen reference to LM123 with a screen name of " longblade "?

When the stuff hit the fan at MTO in August a new "face"appeared on Candle Power Forums Marketplace by the name of " longblade ".

I put a Swisstool "S"  black oxide on CPF-MP  and 1 day later " longblade " said " I'll take it " , he sent me a PM asking if he could pay with a WalMart money order and I told him OK.

Longblade sent me a follow up PM  8 dayslater saying he sent the WM money order.

I answered with a PM asking for a name and address as i was going on the road and wanted to get it ready. so my wife could mail it when the MO showed up.

NO answer received - this was odd, most people are axious to get their stuff " on the way to them "  ASAP  :mail:

Well, over 2 weeks have passed and no money order received from "longblade".

However "longblade" purchased a Nitecore from another seller on CPF-MP a

Nitecore SmartPD EX-10 Golden Dragon Plus – 45$ SOLD & SHIPPED 08/18 to longblade

and the seller shipped it 2 days later leading me to believe he paid with PayPal, and not a money order.

The other thing that got my attention as Nikko's last major obsession was he wanted a Swisstool  Spirit " S " in black oxide.

The last thing I was  looking over LM123's  posts he really wanted a Nitecore "10" , just so happens the one thing he did purchase on CPM was a Nitecore

This may be my "cop"  mentality / intuition  kicking in , but it sure sounds like a LM123 or a close relative.

It's entirely possible that it is LM123- in fact, quite likely.

However, he is not alone out there, and there are many others like him.  In fact, the vast majority of folks that I have banned, either here or at KF (with the exception of spammers) have been the result of numerous unfair trade practices.

These trade practices are why I consented to having a Feedback forum, which for the most part, I consider useless.  Since there were obviously many trade issues and very few actual, formal complaints lodged, some of these folks have been able to continue on doing what they do.

I have no idea whether that is LM123 or not, but whoever it seems to have some serious Freudian issues. Seriously, "LongBlade"....?  ::)

It is indeed. Remember all, if you are having problems someone else could be as well.  You posting in here of any dodgy traders could prevent others getting scammed in the future.

these LM123 threads are interesting especially now that he is being tracked on other forums as well.
he is collecting more alias's then the FBIs 10 most wanted.
the really sad thing is that he does'nt seam to understand the difference between right and wrong. or, if he does, the matter is of little consequence. i'll wager that he likely is a sociopath. moreover, he has probably been "diagnosed" with ADHD given the ramdomness of his behavior and lags on posting replys on other trades elsewhere.

i can't say that the feedback forum is mostly useless b/c it can help spot perpitraitors quicker. it won't stop people like LM123/ longblade/ nikkigi but it can slow them down before they do too much damage.

Only if people actually use it, and before a member is already banned for having screwed over a few hundred people.

UPDATE on longblade

"longblade " is not LM123

A couple PM's from other CPF members advised me longblade is in California AND  "The guy seems to be a lil weird"

Sorry for the false alarm, maybe fishing is Nikko's new past-time.
