The design looks quite good and they seem rugged enough from this guy's testing - he ran over one with his truck by accident.

These look like great camping and outdoors lights, which is their intended purpose.  Also look like they could make decent toolbox lights, especially considering the reasonble prices.

I've owned a Uco backpacker's candle lantern for years and it is of very good quality.

I remember seeing those, not very comfortable as flashlight thou.
