if you could have any car what would it be

here is mine a Sandrail:

A normal one would work but you might as well go whole hog

then since a Sandrail in winter is more of a nightmare

You guys are making me feel super cool for already having a yellow Jeep!  :D

If I could have any real production car, it would probably be one of these:

Mercedes G55 with the AMG package.

It'll go anywhere my Jeep will, but it will be comfortable and civilized doing it!

Failing that, I'd love to get one of these:

I'm not a big fan of fast cars, but the Esprit from Lotus, especially the older ones, strikes me as just an amazingly beautifully crafted machine that I would make an exception!

Ah, that Land Rover is what I was just looking for so I could post a pic.  I love that!  And the CJ's are my all time favorite vehicle.  We had a CJ5 when I was a kid and I loved that vehicle...I was so mad that my parents sold it before I was old enough to drive.  I wanted that Jeep!  I don't like the newer models except for the Rubicon...that one is not too bad but it's not a CJ! :D  :tu:

Speaking of real cars, how about a smart car with hayabusa engine?

I like small and nimble cars, even thou I don't fit into some of them.

4X4 Jeeps are OK but what good is 4 wheel drive if you can't haul a bass boat and a camper. I'll take this.

And my car? Well I'll take the 750hp Shelby GT500 Super Snake

Now it's time for my possibly achievable and somewhat practical dream car. 2010 Taurus SHO

I'm glad this is "dream cars". In reality, I had a 3/4 ton and it was too big for what I needed. I could get by very well with just a compact truck like a Ranger. That 3/4 ton was a great truck but it sucked gas like a supercar.

It's a dream, but not in aggressive rush hour traffic.  Throw down a foot of snow, however, and then the fun begins.  :)

I actually used to have my "dream car".  It was the first one I bought...$3000 '91 Ford Explorer, it was 7 years old when I got it.  It was two-tone gray, 5 speed, had to get out to lock the hubs when I needed four-wheel.  OMG I love that thing!  It could practically climb a tree.  Gas mileage actually wasn't that bad.  Drove it everywhere,  Until it blew up one.  Well, not literally but almost.  It developed an "overheating problem" spent 3 months in and out of the garage.  I got it back in time to drive it the 150 miles back to school at the end of summer, bam!  On the interstate everything jsut stopped working, smoke, clanging....turns out it threw a rod.  I'm not exactly sure what that means, but apparently it could have been a lot worse than it was.  Needless to say it was retired after that.  :(  But I loved that vehicle.  I like my Subaru now, but I miss my Explorer.

I had forgot about the Shelby Cobra  :gimme:

And to further the derailment:
The Huey

Best Copter ever made

As far as My wanting a Jeep, they make me think of home (they are built an hour away)

So a Jeep with Cooper tiers and Marathon gas in the tank would be the perfect NW Ohio Special :)

Also to me the fun of a super car would be taking trips in it something their trunks don't allow for
