I've not had much success with ultrasonic cleaners (real cheap ones I admit). I'm a toothbrush scrubber Dunc, I can probably assist with sorting your SideClip
I think MTO has reached a new low. On a thread titled "I've ruined my Sideclip" I was expecting to read about a breakage, not a bloody shiney spot!! Come on people!

Lol - how the hell did you manage to get rust on a tool, in a drawer, coated in WD40, in a plastic bag?
I have two SideClips , one a user the other a drawer queen which is totaly unused and mint . I keep it in a platic bag and its got a good coating of WD40 on it . Trouble is when I looked at it I noticed a small patch of rust on one handle . I tried rubbing it with a cloth but it wouldnt come off so I tried a scotch pad soaked in WD40. Its taken off the rust but also left a shiny patch on the metal and light scratching . So my drawer queen it no longer mint To be honest I'm a bit gutted and well and truelly p*ssed off Dunc
