Here are some more pics of the little chipmunk I saw on the island. He was hiding beneath the leaves, making rustling noises as he moved about. I had no idea what it was until he popped up for a look around. :D










By the way, for those of you who don't know about chipmunks, they are just about the cutest little critters in the whole woods. :)

We have both here, chipmunks are more shy and stay away from people, but squirrels are pretty bold and will come up to you if you give them food. One even climbed up my leg to claim an apple core when I was having lunch in the park.

As for the house hippo, I'm very disappointed that I can't have one  :(

Squirrels are one of my favourite creatures, especially the red ones we have left in small pockets of soft woodland. Anyone ever been squirrel fishing?
