A bloody fine day!
on: November 26, 2009, 11:21:27 PM
A couple of days ago I got a letter from my boss summoning me to a meting with him today, so after I was finished with my day I stepped into his office. He said that some of my co-workers had issued a complaint against me and that they where concerned that I might be a racist.

He had a peace of paper in front of him and he said that these where some of the racist things that I had said to my co-workers, so he starts reading up the things that I have said and some of the things that they say that I said where shocking, he said that on one occasion I had in fact said “Let’s go take some n***ers”. I am sitting there in shock and getting more and more pissed of. I have been working at the same place for almost 3 years so I ask him why on earth this has not come up before now and he said that the cup is now full and that he and the company can no longer accept my racist and discriminating attitude.

I said to him that everything he has heard is completely bull droppings and that the people that have said those things has been lying like they believe it them self. The boss did not say it directly but I could read between the lines and that it didn’t matter if it was thru or not because if I wasn’t sacked then the person that was behind it would go to the boss of my boss. So that’s it, one month to Christmas and I have no job.

I have my suspicion about how is behind this and why he is doing this. The person that I suspect is doing this is a lazy ass guy in his mid 40’s and is always 10 minutes late to the appointments and sett time schedules for when we are to leave the office and head out for work. So I was sick and tired of waiting for the guy so I started to just walk of to work without him, and this I did with the blessing of my boss since he could then save some money since he was docked in pay for every minute he wasn’t by my side.

So Securitas, this is how you repay me for all the overtime I have putt in, me getting hit in the face, me getting spat in the face by junkies, me trying to sort out people that is not doing a good work and really don’t care about their job.

So this is how it feels like to get one up the a** by their boss….

That sucks. But look at it this way, if they're willing to pull crap like that then it's probably better that you found out sooner rather than later. I'll say a prayer you find something better real soon.

Man that sucks. >:(  Here they would have had to have talked to you about it before, typically one verbal warning, one written warning and then they could fire you.  This is so people are given a chance to defend themselves and change any behaviour that is causing the problem.

BTW I don't mean that I think you are guilty, far from it, I just think everyone should have the chance to defend themselves.  If I were you I would be reading through their disciplinary procedures and finding out if they are following their own rules.

As someone who was also fired from Securitas (although at the time it was still Burns/Wells Fargo) for some stupid crap, I can say that it isn't the end of the world, and that while it's a crappy thing to happen, don't let it get you down too much.  Often, getting fired by a company like that is the nudge you need to do a little better next time.  I have, in fact, been fired by many security companies, and yet I'm still quite well respected in the industry.  It's not who has fired you, it's how you react and what you do.

You are better than this.  We've all said or done something in the past that was stupid and/or misconstrued, and it's small minded folks that will punish you for it.

Yah Medic, what Grant said. Any company that would fire you based on hearsay, without giving you a chance to defend yourself, is not a company you want to work for anyway. >:(

Thanks for the support guys and gals, you are a truly amazing bunch of people.

I have read the disciplinary procedures and they where not followed, they didn’t even follow Norwegian law when it comes to giving a person the can. But it’s like Bob said, why on earth would I want to work for a company that does things like this. The only positive thing is that my boss gave me the opportunity to hand in my resignation instead of he handing me the peace of paper that says I am fired, this looks better since it will say that I quit and that I didn’t get fired on my work description from Securitas.

You a racist!I don't believe it man! I traded with you and never I feel anything racist about you! To the peolpe who fired you they can kiss the ass of a good man goodbye! And to the guy that got you fired Duck you! Duck you to hell May Karma get you soon!

Thanks Duckman, one of my best friends growing up was from the Philippines and the people that I have said this to is having a problem understanding this.

I have already applied to some jobs and don’t think that I will have a hard time finding a new one, I am a little happy that this happened since I have been for wanting to look for a new job for some time now I have now all the time in the world to look for a new one……….And I got a lot of catching up to do on the forum
