So I was working on my alox rambler and thought I should use the leftover parts. I remembered someone asking about putting 58mm scissors on the back of larger knives, so I thought I would give it a try. I used an 84mm and the scissors point sticks out, but is protected by the key ring, so it won't catch on anything. I used the smaller diameter brass rod to fit the 58mm scissors and made sure to peen it well. Snap on all the tools is perfect. Not sure if the scissors would stick out on a 91mm or not. After I was done I realized it would look cleaner if I kept the corkscrew and replaced the awl. In the end it is a perfectly usable mod.
It might be interesting to use the sides from a non-cutout knife like a bantam. You would need the backspring from a knife with tools on the back spring, and it would require drilling of the sides for the extra pin. It also has some interesting potential for alox, but again you would need to add the extra pin.
