Hello from the Netherlands
on: January 03, 2010, 01:44:37 PM
Hello people,

Years ago I bought my first Swiss Army Knife, a small one, then came a big one, which is still somewhere, I dont know where. Then came a Bucktool, the 'weird-folding-one', it was gunmetal grey and I had to give it up at airport security years ago. This year I bought a Cybertool Lite, two of them, a secondhand one and a new one. Not much later came a second hand Gerber tread (dont know if i like it yet), a Skeletool CX and a Skeletool (which I gave to my father in law), a Swisscard and a Leatherman AL. Safe to say I am more or less hooked now. Been reading here and I like it. I registered because the tools here, in the Netherlands, are extremely expensive and was looking to see if there are cheaper ways to get a Juice and a Squirt (probably among others).

Welcome aboard- as you can see, our existing Dutchman says he has no drugs, so what about you?  :D

Sounds like you have a good collection of tools so far.  Which one(s) do you prefer to carry?

Thanks for making a dude feel welcome!

Drugs, heh, I cant say I dont have them but its been a LONG time since I used, its nicotine, meat and alcohol for me at the moment.

The Swisscard is always on me in my billfold. The small Victorinox lite is always on my keychain. The Cybertool found its residence next to my pc. I carry the Skeletool in my coat. The AL goes in my workbag and the Tread, well, i dunno, not charmed by its LED.

Still looking for a good flashlight to go in my coat or the bag.

And, zepla, Ill be keeping an eye out for a Squirt and a Juice on marktplaats, or ask one for me birthday.

Also forgot to mention the Gil Hibben I once bought, a Pro Folder (model 945). Its a semi-fantasy knife I reckon, it is fit for daily use but it is on the big side and has shapes that have no function. Its my go-to knife in the living, I quite like it.
