How longs the blade on the solo Gareth?
For a designated food prep knife I recommend using Camellia Oil for lubrication after cleaning. It comes from Japan, it's is edible and it has the lubricating properties and rust resistance of any other oil. The only down side is the price, a bit on the expensive side. p.s. my edc blade can be used in food prep in a pitch (after a good washing) for the reason mentioned above.
