Answer- They really turn Gadget Guy on!  :D

Just kidding- Mil-Tac has this new knife available this year, and I tragically don't remember many details.  Bob may be able to help me out here as he was taking notes while I was too busy drooling!

This knife has a full tang San Mai type blade, only instead of using complimentary steels, Mil-Tac has used carbon fiber to sandwich a beefy chunk of titanium.

How cool is that?  :D

In the absence of any actual facts I am going to say that this was amazingly light for a good sized fixed blade.  I'm pretty certain the blade length was 6-7" and it felt lighter than anything else I've held anywhere near that size.

Unlike a lot of companies that will focus on one aspect of the knife and just do something mediocre with the rest of it, the handle on this knife was also great.  It was almost as if I'd grabbed some silly putty and they used the shape of the blob to construct the handle!  I believe it was Micarta, but it may have been g-10- either way it was contoured nicely with a number of cutouts to significantly increase grip, which is great, because if you had a knife like this you'd never want to let it go!

I'll be right over.... :D

Seriously, this think is pretty pricey as you can imagine, so don't expect to stab just anyone with a blade like this!

Very cool design, though they could of done without the serrations. But, I can only imagine the price tag.......Carbon Fiber, Titanium, and made by Mil-Tac = Expensive as hell!

I can't remember the exact price, but I know I have bought cars for less.  Mind you, I doubt there was any CF or titanium on those cars!  :D

It's already available ($730) through Fox Knives. Mil Tac's knives are rebadged Fox knives without the extra overhead.

A titanium knife

Isn't titanium far too soft to make a decent blade?  It would blunt far too easy.

It's rust proof and non-magnetic, necessary in certain situations but most of the time bought for bling factor.

I can't imagine how CF sandwiching Ti would offer any performance increase over regular Ti thou.

A lot of titanium knives are used by the mititary, and a preferred knife by Navy Seals, and they are used to dig up old land mines so there will be no spark.
