Bonjour from France
on: February 14, 2010, 08:40:03 PM
Hi,
I was looking for a small mutitool in order to make my pocket survival survival tin.
A multitool with: a blade, a wire cutter (brass wire for snares), a saw blade and some extra features.
Because of the storage capacity i was looking for one under 2 inch range, more 2 than 2 1/2.

So i bought a coast micro fishing tool, (imported from USA), a official picture here (I detached the lanyard and the attach system for fitting):

http://www.coastportland.com/product.php?prodid=6&prodnums=¿9¡12¡1108¡8¡5¡11¡7¡6¿&mastCat=5&catid=23

I was looking other multitool on 2 inch range and i found your great wabsite http://www.multitool.org/
I was impressed by the one piece tools!
Finally i decided to register here to share our passion, to find some multitool that i don't know, discuss about some design etc.
What a carry every day is a "copy" of the swiss-tech utili-key, it's sufficent for my current needs and already help people around me, so they've bought one :D

Hope we'll meet in an another topic.
Cheers  ;)

Welcome to the forum, you may want to check out the Raker Ring tool.

Link here http://www.rakerknives.com/damascus_tools.htm

They are relatively cheap and have a good cutting notch.

Better late than never  ;).

Even they are hunters or several multitool owners here, a multitool seems to be a "geek" attitude here.
I want to mean that many guys think it's a gadget or useless. They only know the benefits when they bought and use them.
But they're still guys passioned with wepons, knifes and also the multitools, it's not allowed to keep a weapon or a small knife here. So they're afraid and finally hard to find a community here about multitools.
