I've got one of the original stainless ones, rather good IMO.  Big old thing and, as you say, non-legal EDC but nice to have.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

It's a good point.  The CRKT Edgie is about the same money (little less even) and Legal EDC.  Not quite as refined I'll admit, but not at all bad and you'll get more use out of it.

Paul, just remember that it's your cash, you can feel free to ignore us (especially Mike  ;)).  If you fancy the Cara Cara then go for it, like I said it's a nice knife, but I almost never use it as all it does is sit around the house.  I took a snap of the Cara, Edgie and a Wenger Commander (for scale).  The Fit and finish on the Care is definitely a grade better the Edgie, but the Edgie isn't a bad knife at all either.

For that money I'd sooner get something edc-able mate :)

You say that like it's an expensive knife.  Personally, if that's the kinda thing you were after, considering it's a budget knife I'd have said that was a rather good choice.  If we were talking about a £100 knife here than I could have understood that angle.

Seems you changed your mind though Paul.

True :)

But to my way of thinking, if you can't readily edc it, then what's the point in having it?

i do have to say that i use alll my MT's and SAK's as i can really only afford to buy to use and not buy to leave in there boxes, the main decider for my TBH was paypal, i sold some stuff yesterday and it worked out in the end that i was short for the knife, the bag was my original choice but found the byrd after, so i took it as a sighn and plus listening here and went for the bag ,plus i would use that every day  :tu:
