Spyderco Ladybug.....Pocketclip??
on:
April 02, 2010, 05:04:15 PM
Hi guys I just purchased a yellow Spyderco Ladybug H1 Salt, PE (not a fan of the serrated variety). I am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Has anyone here modded a pocketclip on one? If so let's see some pics!
Thanks!

I think most of the spare pocket clips I have are actually larger than my Ladybug! When I get some time, I'll dig a few out and see what they look like together.
You might be better off with a VentureClip on it, keeping it slightly below the pocket line, but secure and within reach.

Yeah I think the size was my main concern, finding a clip that would fit functionally onto the Ladybug.
I'll check out that Venture Klip, it sounds interesting, thanks!

I have one on my yellow Ranger, and it really helps with a big knife like that.
I'll have to try it on my Ladybug- Jeff sent me a nice orange one that should match my orange Ladybug quite well!

I got my Ladybug today in the mail. Thanks to the great eBay seller for the quick shipping
. It is definitely smaller than I thought it'd be! Still seems to be a quality product, that I really wish had a pocket clip!
I just ordered one of the Venture Klips, I hope it arrives quickly as well so I can pocket carry this bugger without having to fish it out every time I need to use it.

An orange venture clip will go well with my orange ladybug
Thx Def.
@ GotUCovered IF you were expecting a Ladybug to be bigger, then you need to look into a Dragonfly. Nice little 2" blade. Dragonfly 2 is in the works

I just got in the Venture Klip in yesterday. I'm not impressed at all with the quality. One edge is melted and droopy, the main edge you see sticking out of your pocket. The side edges were rough and still had debris hanging from them, I trimmed those off. Also the hole is off-centered a bit, as small of a thing as it may be it bugs me. Functionally it's perfect for the Ladybug, but I'm still left with a strong bitter taste because of the quality. I'm surprised someone thought it was ok to send out a final product like it was. All that said, I'll still use it because of it's functionality.
Here are some pictures:

Grant, yours looks great. Ohh well, I emailed him to let him know of my dissatisfaction. Jeff was very professional and offered a full refund, but I don't want a refund.... It was only $5 shipped and he makes them by hand, it's not like he's making a fortune off of these. I'll still use the Klip, it works great, I'm just surprised this was the product that was shipped.

The nice thing about kydex is that you can use a heat gun on it and reshape it almost indefinitely. Have you thought about refinishing it yourself? It's actually not that hard.
