I basically avoid using my multi for "repeated" work. If I"m looking at terminating cable all day, I'l go get my strippers and crimpers for that. If I'm driving lots of screws, I'll get my dedicated drivers. The great thing about a multi is on the average day when I could be doing anything and go from job to job, it can handle the variations.
Fan of the Leatherman mini-bit driver and the Vic backspring philips.

That is a very true statement.  If I'm surrounded with tools like when I'm working on my car, I won't use my multi.  But if I'm not surrounded with heaploads of tools in all different shapes and sized....hello MT, nice to meet you :multi:

In what way? and can you clean it off?[
ive never cleaned the gunk left behind ( im to lazy to clean a stanley, il just buy another cheap one), but rolls of felt have small particals of sand and grit and glass in them that scratch youre blade to pieces, and also they are all layed on a roll of bitchumen(i think thats how you spell it )/tar
that sticks to anything, and clumps up. :)

This is probably a good example of where I would go get another knife.  Not because a multi can't handle it, but because it would take more time and effort to clean the tar off and resharpen the blade than it would to walk to a van/workshop to get a Stanley.

So I'll use a multi for pretty much anything, just so long as it doesn't end up causing me more hassle than getting a dedicated tool. :)
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Yup I use my blades for everything. Dont look back and just go full speed ahead.

I understand people not wanting to damage thier stuff, but I really dont mind scratches, and gunk. It will all buff or scrape off.
