never handled a gerber, just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this model as it seems like a good price for a user/ abuser?

I'm not a fan of the saw, but it is a great model

You can't go wrong with any MP series

The nice thing is you can always replace the saw with something you do like.

You will love the sliding plier head feature. Definitely Gerber's high water mark feature.

I love them and the regular MP 600 model.  They are the only Gerbers I own for myself.

Pro scout is the one grant posted, it has scissors and a more traditional looking blade.

I have the parts necessary and could  convert it to a proscout if you were interested
