Look at what was waiting for me at my door.

Actually it wasn't, but pretty close. When I got home last night my neighbor says "I got something to show you."

So a couple minutes pass and he hands me this bowie style fixed blade with Deer antler handle. (real).

And proceeds to tell me how this came about.   He is the neighbor crazy (everyone has one) that is why we get along.

Seems he was out fishing one day and looked down and found this blade half buried in the mud and muck.

Taking it home he decided to wire wheel the extensive rust off and pull off what was left of the handle.

After he cleaned it up and trimmed the tang down he made a handle out of antler he had laying around.

Showing his wife she said it was ugly so he said "Well Aaron would probably like it."

Showing it to me I noticed that the steel was Pakistan but he got a great edge on it,
Also there was no finger choil. I told him it was nice and I would keep it as a looker but not as a user.

Do you want it?  He just handed it to me and I told him thank you now it sets on my bookcase in the hallway guarding the DVD's. :cheers:

A real "shelf KING." ::)
