Scrap Yard Knives?
on: April 16, 2010, 11:05:25 PM
To celebrate me new found wealth (single again! :D) I'm interested in treating myself to a decent overbuilt fixed blade :)

The budget's not immense, I reckon £100 is about the most I can justify really :)

So I'm looking at these at the moment, but wouldn't mind a few opinions first :)

Yeah I'm pretty drawn to that one too :)

Should be almost as tough as my Trailmaster, but in a handier package :)

Seems like it could hack down T virus infected humanoids with ease and still be handy for various bushcraft activities.

They are my favorite blades (and my Ranger) because of how tough they are, plus the warranty.

They really are "glorified pry bars" (the models you like) but you can re-profile them anyway you want to do more delicate work but I and I'm sure you have plenty of other blades (like our SAKs) that can do that.

Understand none of the blades you've listed are available through the store now, they are only available through the secondary market.

That has P'od many! but it's how they do business and they sell out, so I guess it works for them.

All of Busse's blades (Swamprat and Scrapyard) have an amazing "life of the blade" warranty, so if you pass them down to your son, or sell them and they manage to break, chip, wreck them somehow they will replace it.

here is a list a Moderator (user name ColdOne, great guy) over at SY made to see what SY has offered and specs; http://www.scrapyardcollector.com/index.php/Knives

yeah one thing I learned long ago is you can't get Scrapyard (any Busse) right now!

I waited over 6 months for my first SY, the S6 (Scrapper-6) because they (their forum) kept saying; "it's coming, it's coming!" :twak:

why I got my Ranger!~ Justin had my RD7 to me in less then a week! and that was when he was making them "semi-custom!!!"

Now I know the "game" for getting any Busse and why I post here when you can order one/when they are available...., because I luv you guys!~  :P  ;)
