Biggie and Small Both ORANGE
on: April 23, 2010, 03:30:01 AM
Okay well if you didn't know you will now. I love the color orange so I get whatever I can in orange. Some dude on BF had his white dyed orange endura up for trade. Well I just had to get it so I traded my red blur for it. Anyway the handles on the enduras are made of fiberglass reinforced nylon so the handles can be rite dyed any color you want. It will hold that color for a good period of time. I had to get an orange Bladetech Mouse off evilbay and I just love the little thing. So I want to show my 2 orange knives in size comparison. Endura is the top for those who might not know and mouse is the little cute one on the bottom.

Let me know what you think of them.

so do you take the handles off to dye them or just rub the dye on?

Looks great BTW as if straight from the factory

I completely disassembled my Endura for dyeing, but some knives like Ladybug and Salt series are pinned. You can dunk the whole knife in without taking it apart, but a good wash is needed to remove all dye residue to prevent rust.

Does that come in a normal blade style without the waves. The waves are a turn off.

Afraid not, it's meant to be like that to reduce friction when cutting through dense material like cardboard, hard cheese etc.

Really?  How does it work?  I never realized that was it's intended purpose.  :)

I'd guess it makes for less surface contact with the material so less drag/friction.  Only a guess though.

Yeah less surface so less drag, at least that's what people say, I've never used one thou.
