Spyderco Grasshopper
on:
May 06, 2010, 05:40:02 PM
Is anyone planning on getting one?
http://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=460
Apparently Heinnie will have them in the next week for £11.95
The Bug is too small to be truly useful whereas this appears to be a nice legal EDC folder until I get a UKPK anyway

If you can use a Classic, then you can probably get away with using that too
Still too tiny to be truly useful though in my opinion
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

It's 6 cm blade, not that small.

Yeah it's definitely too small to to any extended work with, but perfect for living on the key chain for the mail and packaging. I don't think the line is intended for anything other than that anyway.

It's over a 2" blade so I'd expect it to be plenty useful.
I may invest at some point.
I'm back!!

I own a BUG and a HONEYBEE so I will probably get the GRASSHOPPER. Just because they are family and should be together.

Available on Monday
I can't decide on whether to get it
I would love the 'original' UKPK but that is looking unlikely so the new FRN version is looking good but no one can give a release date
Should I wait for it?
Decisions
If it had a pocket clip I'd grab it as it will probably ride on my pocket
Found these comparison pics on Spiderco forums

Junk steel (and I can't believe I'm saying that about a Spyderco, Chinese-made or not). You'd probably be better served by one of the smaller Byrd folders.
Err, unless it's just a looker or something for UK-legal carry
